Cremation services

We specialize in cremation services that honor loved ones in personalized ways, and families love our transparent pricing. With expertise in scattering ashes and a friendly team who pays attention to every detail, we provide service that is second to none.

More and more people are choosing cremation over traditional burial, but most aren’t familiar with the many options:

  • a cremation without a funeral or memorial service of any kind.
  • a funeral with your loved one present, followed by cremation.
  • a cremation followed by a scattering, cemetery memorialization or celebration of life—or all three.

For those who wish for a more momentous memorial, Neptune Memorial Reef is an underwater cremation garden off the coast of Florida. A Celestis Memorial Spaceflight takes ashes into space for a little while or forever.

There are many options for cremation—and they're not all equal. Here's what you can expect when you choose us for your loved one's cremation:

  • Custody of care guaranteed. Our custody-of-care program helps safeguard the identification of your loved one from the time we bring them into our care until the time we return them to your family. We check, cross-check and check again, every step of the way.
  • Exclusive custody of your loved one. We use only crematories owned and operated by Dignity Memorial® providers or trusted partners. Once your loved one is in our custody or that of a trusted partner, they’re in our care until they’re returned to your family.
  • Licensed, certified, conscientious staff. All Dignity Memorial crematory operators are licensed and certified by Cremation Association of North America, or CANA. Only one person at a time is cremated, and the cremation chamber is thoroughly cleaned before the next person is cremated.

The healing begins

Chapel at DiLuzio Foley And Fletcher Funeral HomesWe are committed to supporting families through the loss of someone dear to them. We know that we cannot make the pain go away. However, it is our hope that the memories we create will make the journey easier for your family and friends.

Families are welcome to share their stories and traditions with us. We'll use these important details to create a meaningful burial or cremation service that celebrates life and showcases your loved one's legacy. As we work through the process, we'll also discuss funeral costs, obituaries, photo slideshows, visitation options and other ways to customize the experience.

Planning in Advance

When you take charge of your own final arrangements, you remove the guesswork for family members. You decide whether you want a casket burial or cremation, a traditional funeral or a modern celebration of life. You can plan your own music, choose a theme, pick a memorial location, and even decide on cemetery property. Planning ahead lets your loved ones know exactly what you want and helps ensure that your final arrangements are exactly as you wish them to be — it also locks in costs at today's prices and relieves your family of decisions they may find difficult. The DiLuzio Foley and Fletcher Funeral Homes team includes a certified preplanning consultant who is happy to help families with pre-planning needs.

History

DiLuzio Foley and Fletcher Funeral Homes has a rich history in Keene, New Hampshire. Our devoted staff has provided meaningful funeral and memorial services for over 130 years.

Foundation for service

Foley Funeral Home was founded in 1885, originally as a livery service and casket maker known as Whitcomb’s Livery on Roxbury Street in Keene. The livery's owner was a cousin of the Foley family who came into the business about 25 years later when the funeral home was known as O.J. Howard and Frank Stearns Funeral Directors.

Francis J. Foley was a director at our funeral home around 1910, and in 1919, our name changed to O.J. Howard and Foley Funeral Home.

Changing times

In June 1945, the funeral home was renamed Frank J. Foley Funeral Home and moved to its current location at 49 Court St. The Foley family operated the funeral home and ambulance service until January 1975, when Robert and Linda DiLuzio purchased the business from the Foley estate. Robert DiLuzio has been with us since February 1961, and recently celebrated over 50 years of service to the community. Linda DiLuzio has been with the firm since January 1971.

Today, the DiLuzios continue to serve families with their burial and cremation services. DiLuzio Foley and Fletcher Funeral Homes is proud to be a member of the Dignity Memorial® network of funeral, cremation and cemetery service providers while offering the same commitment to care on which we were founded.
